Aroyewun made the declaration during his visit to the community to assess the condition of the road and bridge that finally collapsed some weeks back when heavy rainfall caused serious flash flood across Lagos with Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA being one of the most affected areas.

Community leaders and stakeholders present narrated the daily challenges residents face, while they appealed for swift intervention to ease movement, boost trade, and safeguard lives.

Speaking during the inspection of the strategic route, the council boss expressed deep concern over the infrastructure’s condition, noting that the state of the bridge has become a matter of urgency given its central role in enabling economic and social activities.

He emphasised that the on-the-spot assessment was necessary to guide appropriate and immediate intervention.

Babajimi Benson, to assist us with the road and possibly link it with the Olu – Odo/Adegbose road which is being constructed”, he appealed.
